The Boat has stood on Church Street, Wednesfield for generations — a familiar face in a familiar neighbourhood.
After a period of closure, we took on The Boat with a straightforward aim: to give Wednesfield the local it deserves. Not a rebrand, not a chain-pub makeover — just a proper pub, done properly.
We’ve stripped back and rebuilt where it mattered. The interiors respect what was already here while creating a space you actually want to spend time in. The kitchen has been fitted out to take the grill seriously — real heat, proper cuts, fresh prep every day.
The bar is stocked with rotating ales from West Midlands breweries alongside the classics. We look after our taps. We’ll know your order before long.
What to Expect
Hand-pressed burgers, 28-day aged steaks, proper fish & chips. No freezer shortcuts.
We work directly with West Midlands breweries to keep the taps interesting and the quality high.
Families, couples, after-work, Sunday lunch. Dogs welcome in the bar. Everyone at home.
